I didn't register until 1984, when my local Board made an inquiry by mail.
By then the War was over. They were merely straightening out their old
records. I even got my first draft card (at age 34) I was classified
"1-Y".
No deferments for me; I merely "forgot" to register. ........besides, I
was busy.
