I think we need to understand that H. Wayne Elliott has some serious
problems. It must be terribly embarrassed for a self-professed expert
to come in here and be humiliated, as he has been for over a decade
(doubt this? He was ranting on this very topic a decade ago). His
writing has been torn apart, his handling of evidence and
interpretation of texts held up to abject ridicule, and his
intellectual incompetence is demonstrated at every turn. His best
friend here for some time was a rabid antisemite and racist.

Those who have met H. Wayne Elliott in person have told me that he is
a very pleasant if arrogant man ... but the former goes away as soon
as you say anything with which he disagrees in the slightest, and it's
not long before he resorts to personal insult and smugness to deal
with disagreement. One of his great weknesses is a failure to read
material carefully. His rants often misfire because he simply has
misunderstood what is being said (or who said it). However, his
phobia to admitting error is such that the ranting escalates. This
reveals that when he resorts to name-calling, it's because he's losing
on the merits of the issue. At times it does not take long for him to
reach this result. In short, his behavior is not limited to this
newsgroup. His posting behavior is characteristic of the man.

Now, there are all sorts of people who post here. What should be of
concern, however, is that H. Wayne Elliott has taught US military
personnel about international law.

There will be more rants and implied threats from Mr. Elliott in
