davis concluded secession was fading away and that by starting a war he
could keep the flame alive.
unfortunately for him he lost control of the fire.
he made the suumption that the "greasy mechanics" of the north wouldn't
fight and that they were no match for the brave cavaliers of the south.
someone should have informed him the cavaliers lost to their civil war too.
funny thing, but steady determination will beat dashing flashiness
everytime.
