Yes, it is because AIPAC and other neocon groups would have succeeded
in getting the Senate to approve the White House nomination. So, it
will mean that these groups will have sweeping control over the two
parties in the Senate, the Democrats as the majority as well as the
Republicans alike.

And the terror war which includes the Iraq war is a bi-partisan war.
